Kids are precious to us!
Our mission is to support and encourage parents each week by teaching the children about God’s love. We want to demonstrate God’s unconditional love for each child and teach them about serving others in our community.
We have yearly events like our Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School, Harvest Party, Trunk or Treat, Birthday Party for Jesus, etc. We also have more regular events like Family Movie Nights and family outings.
We are excited to open our children’s Music Room and Library for Kids in February 2012. These rooms (which are a part of our state approved daycare rooms) will be incorporated into our children’s ministry programs.
Here is what Cross Community Church has in store for your children!
Cuddlebugs (0-2 Years)
The name says it all! Our Cuddlebugs are 0-2 years of age and love to cuddle! We have a specialized program for both our Learning Time and during our Worship Service. Repetition is key! Each child has one-on-one time with a teacher who begins the foundation of how Jesus loves them. This room is staffed with two or more workers each Sunday who truly love babies.
Cuddlebugs are located in our Children’s Wing, which are licensed daycare rooms.
Wigglebugs (2-4 Years)
As the name states, these children are our most active kids! Our Wigglebugs love to learn! During our Learning Time and Worship service, the foundation that began in the Cuddlebug Room is built upon. Children are taught about Jesus’ love and also how to share that love with others.
Beginning in February 2012, we will begin a special program rotating hands-on music instruments, puppets, story time and snack time during our Worship Service. This room will be staffed with married couples who have a lot of experience with children this age. Wigglebugs are located in our Children’s Wing, which are licensed daycare rooms.
Adventure Land Kids (Kindergarten-5th grades)
Adventure Land Kids is our Kindergarten through 5th grade program. During our Learning Time, we have the children in two groups: K-2nd and 3rd-5th. These groups continue to learn about God’s love for them and also begin to show this love through serving.
During our Worship Service, all the children are brought together for Adventure Land! This ministry teaches through a video series (currently “Life is a Highway”) song and crafts. These rooms, which are located in our Children’s Wing, are staffed by energetic people who are passionate about children.
